As most people don't have the time or inclination to sit, or the portrait is a gift or surprise, photographs of the subject are all that's required. They can be taken by the artist during the <consultation>, or provided by you, the client. It is preferable for the artist to meet the subject in person to get a feel for the subject's personality, and a three-dimensional visual impression of their features. However, it is understood that this might not always be possible.

There are three main criteria to consider during the consultation; size, style and the right photograph.

Size
An artwork needs to fit the space in which it hangs, therefore we produce bespoke sizes. Each work is tailored exclusively to the client's requirements.

Style
The style of the work will need to fit it's environment. Look through the <portfolio> to identify which style suits your requirements. If you are undecided with regard to style, or can't find a suitable style in the portfolio, then a solution can be determined during the consultation.

Photo
Once the above have been determined the artist can consult on choosing the right photograph, before leaving to draw up the proposed artwork for <presentation> to you, the client.
